Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation, in cooperation with our partners at Dementia Friendly Washoe County and the Sanford Center for Aging, offers a free, weekly series of interpretive nature walks specifically designed to be accessible and inclusive for all, including individuals living with dementia and their care partners.
These walks will give participants an opportunity to connect to the natural world through an experiential exploration of seasonal change along the Truckee River in Idlewild Park. The walks focus on the seasonal change of plant and animal life (i.e first bud burst of target plants, the first sighting of a specific bird, first leaf fall of the season, etc.).

Join us for the walks every Thursday at 10 am at
Idlewild Park- 50 Cowan Drive, Reno NV.

*Registration not required.
*Participants who need assistance with personal tasks must be accompanied by a care partner.
