In this video, we will be discussing the history of Rainbow Ridge Park, which is located in an idyllic neighborhood surrounding the infamous Robb Canyon. Together with three of our Wetland Restoration Technicians, Jill Katz, Daniel Correa, and Kara Hettinger we will discuss the urban legend and alleged paranormal sightings connected to this local park.

We are joined by Council member Donald Abbott to explore one of our urban parks-- Deer Park! Together with our Community Programs Educator Jade Bourdeau and Community Engagement Coordinator Chantel Dominguez, we will explore the amenities, identify awesome plants, and learn how this park got its name!

We'll stroll down the path encircling Helms Lake and discuss the interesting history of the marina. The marina is a perfect place for a summer evening walk with great views, open water, and a variety of water birds to see. Bring your binoculars! Bathrooms available near the parking lot. Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome.

We will be learning about the robust ranching history of Bartley Ranch Regional Park! Join Communications Coordinator Alayna Wood and Resource Development Coordinator Tyler Morris for a journey to the past as we explore this historic gem. We might even see a coyote!

Here, we will be learning about Lockwood Park and exploring the Lockwood Loop trail! With a beautiful mix of riparian and high desert views, Naturalist Educators Sierra Kirby and Sunny Perez, Wetland Restoration Tech Emma Steer, and Community Programs Educator Jade Bourdeau will take you through an interpretive area full of native plants and animals!
