Dive Into Summer Day Camp Fun at Rosewood Nature Area

Campers ages 6-8 can enjoy all the excitement of a Sierra Nevada Journeys and TMPF adventure — right in a day camp setting. We’re thrilled to offer six weeks of STEM-based programming at the beautiful Rosewood Nature Study Area, located at 6500 Pembroke Drive in Reno, NV.
Led by Sierra Nevada Journeys educators and camp counselors, each day is packed with hands-on STEM activities, nature exploration, refreshing water play, and camper’s choice time. Every week centers around a unique theme, blending classic camp fun with engaging educational experiences.
With small groups and a low camper-to-staff ratio, kids receive the perfect balance of personal attention and group connection.
Get ready for a summer filled with discovery, learning, and adventure!

Why STEAM Summer Camp?
According to Peter Scales and the American Camp Association, "Camp is one of the few institutions where young people can experience and satisfy their need for physical activity, creative expression and true participation in a community environment. Most schools don't satisfy all these needs."
There is a projected 14% increase in STEM-related jobs, but only 16% of high school students are proficient in STEM subjects. With our STEAM, standards-based curriculum at the Student Stewards Summer Break Camp, students will be better prepared for high school and beyond!
