April included our 3rd Annual Healthy Parks Healthy People 5K and Kids' Obstacle Course! We had over 100 runners, and over 70 participants in our kids' obstacle course. Runners were handed flowers at the finish line, courtesy of our friends at Bonanza Produce, and all participants enjoyed local food truck specialties including Donut Daddy and Java Ship! |

Over 70 park lovers and volunteers made their way to Idlewild Park and participated in our Invasive Species Removal on April 27th, 2019. With your help, we were able to remove over 1,620 pounds of invasive plants! Keep an eye out for our upcoming invasive removals throughout our parks and open spaces. Ongoing volunteer opportunities are also available here! |

Our Discover Your Parks (DYP) Walks have officially started! Our first four guided walks in April included Truckee Meadows Nature Study Area, Golden Eagle Regional Park, Chrissie Caughlin Park, and Mira Loma & Boynton Slough! DYP walks are and held each Thursday from 6PM-7PM and are one mile long. Come out and join us for a walk next Thursday! |
